Need help for Avatar Crop (image not found on Amazon S3 bucket)

    Hi,

We are building a new website using:
    Wordpress 4.1
    BuddyPress 2.1.1
    W3 Total Cache V0.9.4.1
    Theme: Kleo

Hosted on AWS EC2, and using Amazon S3 as the CDN for all uploads.

We are hoping to allow user to upload their profile photo, however, we are seeing the following error:
    screenshot of image file

This file is not copied to S3, but the buddypress code is expecting it at S3… Any clue how to fix it? W3 Total Cache will take care of all other images and pdf we added to media manager, but somehow not working for this.

also, attached is the pic showing that why I know buddypress is looking for this in S3.
    source code snap

Appreciate any suggestion – whether we configure something wrong, or require code changes…. We did customize the theme, but didn’t touch any plugins… This is quite important (as without the pic, we cannot tell who is who!). If anyone know a solution and can offer to help fix with small fee, we will consider. Please reply or let us know how to contact you.

    Thanks,
    Yee Studio.

Any luck with this? I’m trying the same thing. W3TC is not updating the custom files to S3.

Have you tried using the filter hooks in bp-core/bp-core-avatars?
There are several filters for adjusting various paths.
Haven’t tried it, but might work.

I got it working. Had to write a new function but it works like a charm. I also have it working for other custom files outside the media library. Thanks for your help.
