Need Help! Trunk + RC1 = bad

    @enlightenmental1

    ok,

/members doesnt work for me anymore

neither does any of the /members/?s=search

    take me to :

    “Not Found / No Access

The page you are looking for either does not exist, or you do not have the permissions to access it.”

this is displayed on the blank member profile page instead of the search page where you would normally see the A-Z list

    /Groups works fine…

    /members/membername works fine…

my problem is that some of the code is RC1 and some is latest trunk

    latest trunk:

    xprofile

    bp-core

    everything else is RC1

which files are associated with the /members stuff?

I need to start with those (changing to trunk)

  • Er. I would suggest you just work to upgrade fully to a trunk release. Running what is effectively a custom version of code in a project that is this big and complicated, who knows what else could happen

i agree…. where can i download the entire trunk rather than having to view each file?

    update to the above problem:

when BP generates the /members link, it comes out as /MEMBERS_SLUG

    ?

    thanks

    Don’t mix versions!

    here is 1281 trunk zip : https://trac.buddypress.org/changeset/1281/trunk?old_path=%2F&format=zip

I know where that constant (which has actually been renamed since) is defined, but I think it’s a much better approach if you install the SVN trunk.

I don’t know of any database/table changes since RC1. If I were you I might consider just copying out your .htaccess and wp-config.php to a safe location (and any theme changes etc you’ve made – you’ll have to reimplement these afterwards). Get the trunk with svn co https://svn.buddypress.org/trunk and put it into your mu-plugins, and put the .htaccess and wp-config.php files back in place. And crossing my fingers.

At the bottom there is a link where you can download the whole zip file. https://trac.buddypress.org/browser/trunk
