Need suggestion regarding a site I want to make usin BP

    Hi All,

    I want to make a social site in which
    1. People can register.
    2. Can write some Articles as well as about some things they own ( like TV etc ) – Articles can be blogs but what about things like I want to distinguish that they own it other than articles , how can I classify them.
    3. They and other can rate those things and people.

    So I am confused about the things part how can I manage it using BP , Please provide your suggestions.

    (1) and (2) don’t require BuddyPress at all. For (2) you can use a custom post taxonomy or a custom post type (or plain old categories) to distinguish your own articles from your users’ content.

    As for (3), BuddyPress doesn’t have a rating system built in. There are a lot of WordPress rating plugins, and I’m sure one of them could be adapted to work with BP.
