Nested a tag in a tag notifications

In my budypress install (wp4.0, buddypress 2.1.1) a new reply message on the member notifications page is shown with an kader lid van fr_regiomanager” (yep dutch)

Of course i don’t want the user link href to show up like this, it shouldn’t show the nested user link or the one around it. Any ideas on how i can fix this? i tried to disable the translation as well but no luck. i’ts part of the bbp_format_buddypress_notifications function by the way.

hope someone has an idea, looks ugly 🙁

    hi @bjusters,
it’s a bit unclear. Do you really have an issue or is it only esthetic ?

    What is your theme ?
Can you share an URL or a screenshot please ?

    See here for ref:

Sorry, i didn`t notice the href got rendered here, but i looks like this:

the biggest problem with it is that it messes up the mobile version, still i find it strange the href inside doesn`t get rendered.

Any idea with a filter or something with which i can fix it?

The notice area doesn’t allow html usage, by default. It’s a short (raw, unstyled)message tool, not a post editor.
If you add an url, you simply copy/paste it into the area. There is no need to built an extra href, BP will convert it automatically as clickable link.

    Don’t use:
    <a href="http://nvdaforum.niceguys.eu/vb.jpg">My link</a>
    Just paste:
    http://nvdaforum.niceguys.eu/vb.jpg

and all went well (normally). 😉
