New at BuddyPress, Simple Question about Customizing a Theme

Sorry for what is a really a beginner question. I am working with a new, blank theme for BuddyPress and I would like to customize a section of the file entry.php located in wp-content/themes/mytheme/activity/entry.php. There is a section the username of a post along with the time of the post. I need to customize the css classes and html around each of these and PHP is pulling this information with . I cannot seem to find out which file anywhere holds the username, text and date information inside that line of php.

Any help or pointing me in the right direction would be appreciated.

    WordPress Version 3.3.2
    BuddyPress Version 1.5.5

That sounds like bp_activity_action() the function is located in the core files /activity/bp-activity-template.php

You may not find this an easy function to deal with though and will probably have to build a filter grabbing the $activities_template->activity->action and returning that to bp_get_activity_action judging by the function.
