new bbPress 2.4 borks CSS styling

    Hi all,

    Wondering whether someone having the same issues when new bbPress 2.4 is installed and using mobile devices?

    Just updated bbPress and the site looks fine on Firefox and Chrome on the desktop but when viewed in Chrome or Kinkin browser on my iPad, the BP widget as well as other BP styling in the Community areas are totally borked – http://www.geekandjock.com/activity

    No idea what’s been done in relation to ‘responsive CSS’ but they’ve screwed it for my site, at least.

    Any help would be fantastic

    P.S tried to post in the bbPress forums but I don’t seem to have access to post, for some reason.

    Well, in short, I needed to make a /css folder in my theme folder, copy the new bbPress css file from wp-content/plugins/bbpress/templates/default/css/bbpress.css and rip out all the mobile related entries that where all in the bottom end of that file.

    Problem solved though it isn’t a very elegant solution and I’m sure this cause havoc for lots of other themes that aren’t responsive.
