New Buddypress Theme: Custom Community – 1.0

    Custom Community Theme is a multi columns (left, right, left and right), widget-ready Buddypress theme. It comes in a clean and simple css-design in a light or dark version. You have an admin option page to customize nearly every part of the theme. It has a community-navigation widget, is 100% WP 3.0 compatible, e.g. custom menus. Also it has a custom header to change text color or add a logo or background-image.

    It would be nice if the header image was a bit taller

    Alright, finding out the ups and downs of your theme. Good work! Wondering though, what code do I put into the theme options for the colors?

    @cryptidresearch

    never mind, figured it out. don’t use the # mark on the HEX number. :) Thanx! It’s looking good!

    Alright, concrete feedback now that I’ve played with your features.
    1) Header image is too small. I would like options to have a larger image. I like 275 px
    2) Remove the search from the header. I’d like options to remove that. It’s unneeded for my site.
    3) Title. It’s currently behind the gray bar for the buddypress. Move it down?

    Now, I’m just learning PHP, been using HTML for years. New to WordPress in last year. Can I make the above changes somehow in the style.php? I hate to make changes and break it.

    I like that it uses the custom menus, so much of my information needs to be accessed in it’s categories.

    Thanx for the hard work!

    @cryptidresearch, In the next version will be an option for the header height ;-)

    @boonebgorges: Thanks!
    @cryptidresearch: Thanks for your feedback!
    1) as Sven mentioned above, the next version comes with variable header height.
    2) good idea, there’ll be an option for this in the next version!
    3) I will also have a closer look on the title..
    You can play around with style.php and both .css-files, but all changes will be gone with the next update.

    Hi, after installing “Custom Community”, my dashboard has been broken. If I click on “theme” , it shows blank!! If I delete the file of “Custom Community” then its back. Please identify this problem!

    A post template to list the latest posts from a category.
    You can add CSS into a separate area, to keep CSS changes update save.
    And much more…

    Hi,
    Is there a way we can stretch the content of the page so there are no gaps on the sides?
    It seems like wasted space.

    Thank you

    I can´t activate it, I got this…

    `Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bp_dtheme_ajax_querystring() (previously declared in /home/cdilanc/public_html/v2/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/ajax.php:20) in /home/cdilanc/public_html/v2/wp-content/themes/custom-community/_inc/ajax.php on line 63`

    Someone can help me please?

    Tanks

    Hi eredepe, this bug doesn’t make sense for me. Please activate a different theme, and then reactivate the custom community theme.

    If the error still occurs, I will need to check it, and try to reproduce it.
