Hi,
I am new to Buddypress but not so much to WordPress.
I am looking to setup a WordPress based community network of sites which will include a buddypress social element. What I am looking for is some advice and recommendations (for themes and/or plugins) for the following features I am looking to implement on the community site:

Users/community members of the site must be able to:
– Submit articles of news and/or blogs (pending approval/moderation)
– Spin up a “pop-up” online shop of their own to sell their stuff locally (and further afield), creating a sort of Etsy/Ebay/Tictail type marketplace.
– Submit classifieds
– submit & rate business directory listings
– submit events & sell tickets
– interact socially (assuming use of buddypress and bbpress for forums / Q&A, etc.)

My plan is to have a wordpress multisite network and use various themes and plugins. I have identified some good ones already on themeforest and WPMU.

Does anyone have a similar sort of community site that they have setup? Or if you have any comments/thoughts/suggestions – I’d appreciate the input.
