No activation emails.

    Wordpress 3.8.1, Buddypress 1.9.2 (also bbPress @ 2.5.3). http://www.familymigration.co.uk/

    I absolutely cannot get my registration page to send out activation emails, I’ve gone through a thousand Google pages and tried everything I’ve felt comfortable with. SMTP plugins don’t make a difference, and I called my host’s technical support who said that because I’m on a shared server (not sure if he meant hosting or email account[own domain email]) SMTP was unlikely to work anyway. He tried everything he could for an hour and a half and no luck.

    Wordpress still sends out password reset emails and users can email my own domain email address via my contact form, but my address won’t reach them for an activation email.

    I’m a total newbie, no knowledge of any code whatsoever. Please help 🙁

    Found a way around my issue by disabling activation emails, although I would rather have them enabled. I also can’t send users emails regarding their recent activity, account settings etc which is very frustrating. At least now my site can be semi-functional.
