[Resolved] No button for finishing registration
-
I use WordPress 3.9.2 (with Twenty Twelve 1.4 ) and BuddyPress 2.0.2. (Both installation are newly made.)
When BuddyPress is NOT activated new users get displayed that registration form:
http://www.1a-spielwiese.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Regis_OHNE_buddypress.jpg –
including a “Weiter” (next)-Button for finishing.
—
After activing BuddyPress new users get displayed the following registration form:
http://www.1a-spielwiese.de/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/Regis_MIT_buddypress.jpg –
without any “Next”-, “Submit”-, “Send”-, “Okay”-Button. –
The problems persits, when I try Reddle 1.3.1 as theme. – Akismet-Plugin is installed, but not activated. “Theme Junkie Custom CSS”-Plugin is installed AND activated. Is only theme-modification, I made, is to change the color and the style of the entry titles in to orange and italic.

“your site settings for the home and site url should match what is declared in your host account.
Read here what Dreamhost told about this.”Thank you.
I guess that was the problem for the ‘non-www.-prefix’-try, which I did yesterday. Because I made no change in my MySQL-Database. (However, I don’t know, whether my provider changed it for my 1st WordPress-Installation on Friday.)
So I will try it again up from the beginning.
However, I don’t know, whether my provider changed it.
Google is your friend: apache server aufsetzen
Alias, redirection,…
Most probably. 😉No, that is not reason.
Now I understand that changing the general settings causes already the change within the mySQL-Database. Changing the mySQL-Data is not an additional task, rather an alternative methode to get the same resulat.
Next I idea: “Now, in your Dreamhost panel, go to the ‘Domains > Manage Domains’ page here:
https://panel.dreamhost.com/index.cgi?tree=domain.manage&
To the right of your domain, click the ‘EDIT’ button under the column ‘Web Hosting.’ The very first option is how your site URL will appear. WITH or WITHOUT the www. (DO NOT leave it as ‘Leave it alone.’Wordpress makes you choose). So, if in your database the URL was http://www.mydomain.com, make sure the option in your panel also shows:
Add WWW: Make http://mydomain.com/ redirect to http://www.mydomain.com/
This way, the HOME and SITE URL in the WordPress database will match what’s in your Dreamhost panel, and you shouldn’t see any more issues with the site URL resolving.”

I guess that means, I have to login in into the “Verwaltungs-Interface” of my provider and I have to do there similar. – I will test it. 🙂
I checked now my “Verwaltungs-Interface”.
The domain is there named “1a-spielwiese.de” (neither www. nor http:// is mentioned there).
And the two subdomains, which were created on Friday, are also mentioned:
kampfsportlerinnenneuwied.1a-spielwiese.de
and
balletttaenzerinnenkrzbg36.1a-spielwiese.de.
But the “FTP-Zugang” for 1a-spielwiese.de is named: http://www.1a-spielwiese.de
Is this relevant oder equal? –
However, there is still the “Umleitungsfehler” regarding the current WordPress-Installation. Any further ideas?

This totally I do not understand.
But the “FTP-Zugang” for 1a-spielwiese.de is named: http://www.1a-spielwiese.de
Is this relevant oder equal? – Maybe relevant, but to get sure ask your hoster.Ask also on the wordpress forum as the install concern WP and not buddypress, the plugin
I got one answer at the German WordPress-Forum:
“Der FTP Zugang ist nur für das hochladen und herunterladen von Datein zum/vom Server zuständig und hat sonst nichts mit der WordPress Installation zu tun.”
In the international forum no answer yet:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/is-the-name-of-the-ftp-zugang-relevant-for-wordpress-multisite
I tried something else:
(cfr. as well the comments before and behind).
But it doesn’t work as well. – Any further ideas?
have you salt keys in your wp-content.php ?
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18771957/wordpress-does-not-properly-display-css-file
and use the given script to check the db.
aside, @r-a-y responded on the ticket. Unsurprisingly, like me, he couldn’t replicate the issue
1st
Yes, I have salt keys.
2nd
— I followed there: http://stackoverflow.com/a/18772055 the “using this script”-link to: http://interconnectit.com/products/search-and-replace-for-wordpress-databases/
— I downloaded the script from there; I extracted the zip-file. I renamed the folder at issue.
— I uploaded the mentioned folder.
— I tried to address within in my browser 1a-spielwiese.de/NAME-OF-MENTIONED-FOLDER.
— I get again only the “Umleitungsfehler”-message.
“And seemling there were already in former times similar problems – without solution:
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/complete-sign-up-button-not-working-on-register-page/
and
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/registration-button-invisible/
Yesterday I found other descriptions of similar problems – as well without solution.”
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/no-button-for-finishing-registration/#post-187040Here is at least one:
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/submit-button-missing-from-sign-up-page/
Seems that you remove the site from the web ?
With or without www, 1a-spielwiese.de gives a 301 error !I did nothing since trying the script yesterday and I myself receive stil this ‘redirecting error’-message.
Would it be useful to give you the passwords for my WordPress-Installation, my FTP-Server and my MySQL-Database for checking them? – Of course, afterwards I would change password.
Contact me on bp-fr.net please
I sent you the information there.
Thank you.
1st:
It works now:
The startpage:
The subdomains:
http://balletttaenzerinnenkrzbg36.1a-spielwiese.de/
http://kampfsportlerinnenneuwied.1a-spielwiese.de/The finishing-button (“Registierung abschließen”) for the registration page:
http://1a-spielwiese.de/registrieren/
2nd:
However, it is still not very clear, what precisely was the specific reason for each problem at issue.
a) But it seems, that the my provider did the deleting of the http://www.-prefix from server setting in fact not or not the correct way.
b) An in-detail error analysis (unfortunately only in German) you find there:
http://forum.wpde.org/blog-netzwerk/133384-kein-zugang-zum-netzwerk-dashboard.html#post576525
Glad you got it finally !
