no mails getting sent

hello team. i have went through bunch of sites videos and everything but nothing is working. no mails not even activation mail of user accounts are being sent. i have already added wp_ mail true snippet. looks like there is no trigger to send mail at all because in mail logs there are no failed mails. please help me at the earliest.
