No pages, posts or comments in Activity

Hello, everyone. I have a problem with Buddypress.

Wordpress 4.1.1 – Buddypress 2.2.2

There is no posts, pages or comments in Activity feed.

At first I encountered this problem on another site and then I decided that the problem may be associated with multiple revisions of WordPress files or there may be a conflict between installed plugins.

Then I created a special website for the test – http://test.mbarbakov.ru/members/sabi

I installed only Buddypress and no other plugins. I’ve used a standard theme “twentyfifteen” (and after that “bp-default” theme), but still there is no posts, pages or comments in Activity feed. Only “Sorry, there was no activity found. Please try a different filter.”

Issue still happens with Twenty Thirteen, Twenty Fourteen and Twenty Fifteen.

I’ve tried several solutions. Including those that have been recorded in this forum (Search Engine Visibility, “add_post_type_support( ‘page’, ‘buddypress-activity’ );” and other).

Please help.

P.S. BTW, excuse me for my english. 🙂

I also forgot to mention that if bbPress is installed, there are topics and replies in Activity Feed. In case of bbPress it seems working.

Did you allowed blog comments in BP settings ? Also, have you assigned a page for activities ? And did you set permalinks to something else than default ?
You can also deactivate, save and reactivate, save your permalinks and BP settings.

FYI bp pages are not considered as an activity, don’t search them there ! 😉
Also, avoid bp-default theme for testing around issues if you never used it, as it is no more fully part of BP since 1.9

Yes.

I’ve tried a lot of things, but still no results.

Guys, can anyone give me working files (wordpress + mysql), so I could see difference myself?

I suppose you know where to upload WordPress and where to upload BuddyPress.

Download BP and reload to site by FTP. No need to uninstall BP, simply deactivate, upload new copy and reactivate.

There is no mysql file !

If you have access to your DB, see what is in bp_activities table.

Are you on a MS or single WP install ?
Where is WP installed, as you linked to a sub-domain…

Is the assigned activity page empty, without any parent page or template ?

Omg I just had a whole wall of text written up and while researching a link from earlier I found this:

and it made my comments show up in activity, hopefully it’s what others need. Why I had to fight with buddypress and search the net for hours to make wordpress comments work is beyond me. I still don’t know if it’s supposed to out of the box or not, which I’ve tested.
