Okay, so i’ve installed the system fine, and edited the new files to work with my design, which is working fine.
But some aspects don’t work, such as forums.
Trying to go onto it, i just get a redirect back to main page.

Any help ?

And you have covered all the basics? Set up forums correctly in the buddypress settings, Permlinks are working correctly, When you say go into ‘It’ what do you mean by ‘it’, the top level directory for forum posts.

Have you tested basic functionality with the default buddypress theme enabled to see if this is a theme related issue?

You will need to provide slightly more detailed info , version numbers for WP/BP are also important.
