I would like to have customized profile fields that allow me to enter multiple data entries for one field. Could someone point me in the right direction?

Example: On a parenting site, the user profile has ‘Children’ as a field group. Each separate child would be a single field in the field group. For each child you can enter the name and the birthday. This would require the single profile field to have a text field and a date selector in one.

Why: I want to be able to do this to display related information together, but also have the data grouped in a way on the back end that it exports correctly and I can call it as a single unit instead of 2 units per child (In the export you can’t tell the two fields are related, and they often don’t appear next to each other so the information is obscured.)

Notes: There are many work arounds to get it to display as a group of information, I have also tried using Conditional Fields for BuddyPress plugin – BUT I need a solution that groups the information on the back end so that is exports correctly.

Any thoughts? Am I way out of my league here? Thanks in advance!
