Only Public Groups have forums?

Hey guys,
New install of WPMU 2.8.4a and BP 1.1 via web plugin installer.
Everything seems to be working brilliantly, the new installer of BBpress was so easy that I had to check the file structure in CyberDuck to even believe that it was done. That used to be such a massive pain, thanks guys!
However, as is my way, I’ve managed to find fault with it. It seems that all the wires work well, as do the group forums – provided the group is public. The Private and Hidden group classes fail to post in the group forum. Even a Group that was built as Public and can use it’s forum, if changed to Private or Hidden loses the ability to post (in addition the posts made with the group was public disappear). If the Group is changed back to Public, forum functionality is restored, and the previous posts are visible again.
