Open Atrium type intranet solution?

Hello everybody
Is it possible to use buddypress/wordpress as Open Atrium type itranet solution? Open Atrium is good, but its old and uses drupal and i like wordpress more.
What i need in my intranet:
– Groups that have their own “site”
– Only admin add’s person to a group
– Every group should have their own eventcalendar in groups front page
– Every group should have their own notepad or pinboard where to place information
– Some sort of “case tracker” where you can post “cases” vie public form or email, and people in that group could view those cases and comment on them.
