Parent/Sub Categories and using a map for Location

    Greetings,

    I am kinda new to WordPress and Buddypres. But i have some questions and i don’t know if it possible. For example my site is about cars. Is it possible to add something like this, example:

    Make (parent catergory)
    Honda
    Opel
    … more

    Type (sub category)
    Honda
    – Civic
    – CRX
    Opel
    – Astra
    – Mokka

    How can i use it in my profile? I choose the make: Honda it shows only Civic and CRX (no other type in the type field). And it should also allow me to create a filter for make and type, so that users can search for a certain car.

    Is there a way to use googlemap to determine the location of an user. And use the generated info for the advance search for example: I live in Zoetermeer NL, the generated info would be
    Country: NL State/Province: Zuid-Holland City: Zoetermeer. Allows a user to filter for nearby users.

    I am sorry but English is not that good, but i hope my message is clear enough, thanks in advance.
