pb with buddypress bar
-
i used properly buddypres over 1303 with branches wpmu
now i tried to make upgrade to wpmu 2.7.1 ans bdpress rc2
i am suffering problems with the buddypress :
it is shown as a menu list at the footer of the template ? any idea about that
i made a complete donwgrade to wpmu2.7 and then automatic upgrade of every thing
(wpmu 2.7.1) and automatic installation of bdpress rc2
i still have a problem with the budypress bar
and also with blog upgrade button (for wpmu)
it tells me that the server cannot find my subdomains blogs

am I the only one with this admin bar going down to the footer not as a bar ?
I have 3 buddypress installs that works pretty good
and i do not want to upgrade them before o understand the pb.
are the 2 pb can be linked ?
or not
Sounds to me like the stylesheet for your BuddyBar isn’t getting included or is missing.
The BuddyBar naturally appears at the bottom of the source. It is the stylesheet that styles it to appear at the top.
I had this issue when messing with my template. I tried to put a wrapper around EVERYTHING and it sent the adminbar straight to the bottom of the page.
and where to find this stylesheet ?
i am usually using default themes but maybe i did something wrong.
will have a look at it
is it in home or member theme ?
— seems to be in member theme but i do not see why should i have changed something here
in fact it does not appear as a bar at all now.
it is a text menu and the bottom of theme
to have a see : green-vibes.net (when logged in)
Have you made ANY changes to your themes? i.e. Changed div’s by adding or removing any of them? Changed anything in the stylesheets? One wrong letter or character can break everything. (believe me I know lol)
I may be mistaken but I’m pretty sure the home theme runs for everything except what you see when at http://yoursite.com/members/”whatever”
If you could either set up a test user for us or even just set the admin bar to show for logged out users, that’d be helpful.
i made a brand new install and just make the automatic install for bdpress rc2
and i got the same problem for the buddybar
i did not make any changes on theme
you can create a user if you want
i will try the manual install of bdpress now
i made a manual install and it works propely
i cannot explain me what was wrong
but maybe there is something to check with automatic install
Great to hear. Nice job.
Strange – automatic install worked for me – perhaps your server is not setting permissions on files correctly?
