Just about to launch my first buddypress wpmu site this weekend. Basically my question is about the performance of the site. It responds quick enough on the test bed at the moment (its on live domain just hidden) but I’ve been looking at the database and its 1.6mb with just a few accounts on.

I’ve had a look at wpmu multi db over at premium.wpmu but Im wondering does anyone else use this? Will it affect buddypress if I was to use it?

I’m also looking into the other performance related topics like using the cache to serve up static pages but was just wondering if the multi db would be a good idea, also don’t want to crash the db or have it unstable when Im so so close to launch.

Any help / advice much appreciated.
