Please Help a complete Beginner

    Please am a Beginner who knows little about web developing.
    Am a fresh undergraduate student in a college and want to use buddypress to design a complete wide campus social network.
    I tried , installed buddypress 1.7 with web matrix 2.0 and 3.0 and running buddypress on wordpress 3.5.1

    Please help me out. What procedure should i follow.
    I would be happy to have a complete Guide..
