Very cool theme! I like the colour scheme you’ve used along with the flat design. Navigating around using my laptop, everything seems to work fine. My only criticism is when I use my tablet (Google Nexus 7) to view at portrait orientation, the 3-column layout seems a little squished. Aside from that minor issue, all looks good

@peter-hamilton hey nice site peter it looks clean and not too crammed full of stuff and is easy to navigate, tbh i think you are on the right track, but maybe you could do with some kind of landing page explaining a little about your network and who you want to appeal to?
Also i love how you have done the groups section and can add a header image to each group as well as an avatar! Would you mind explaining how you did this? as i would like my groups to also have its own header images, have you used a plugin to add this feature?

I will create a little tutorial soon on how I achieved my themes layout, quite a lot of work as it cost me 8 months of work.

Awesome work, everything is perfect congratulations.
But only thing which I didn’t like is active time ‘ago’. Its so lengthy. Eg: 2weeks 4days 30 minutes ago. Can’t it be like 2W 4d 30min ago or some Thing sweet shortly.

I have been trying to change the date output, but have not been able to, can not find the right file to adjust, some conflicts between BBpress/Wordpress/Buddypress who all use different functions.
Btw. I know nothing of PHP or Javascript so can not write a function…yet

A few updates on the profile pages, members can now upload video, music or photo albums to the sidebar of their profile.
And all avatars now link direct to members profiles instead of their activity, more like on Linkedin and I feel a much more personal page for members.
Many more updates made, including author roles and front end article creation, now off to add them to sidebars etc.

Few alterations made, thanks to feedback from you guys.
Profile pages now a bit more organized, header image only shows on main profile page, other profile pages only shows links bar.
Made background image larger to remove awkward empty space on left side, and made navigation easier by placing the links bar directly (back) under header image.
I also experienced issues with the search options, with all three (wordpress/bbpress/buddypress) having their own search criteria, but I found help from you guys again, and fixed all these issues so people can search for articles, posts, topics, members and groups on the right place.

To start I want to ask why McDonalds, its poison, the meat has been treated with Ammonia so it can be used for ever, do not go there again…
What number, you mention a number to call, and I suspect you wrote the blog cause you own that nr., but that nr. is nowhere in the blog.
And after giving it another read, it is more of a facebook update, or a rant, then an informative blog.
Design wise….nothing to say since there was no design involved. if you really are going for a blogging carreer you need to start learning about content.

What is the issue?
Figured I would take a look but the demo login doesn’t work. For social networks that require registration and no preview, it’s a major stopping point for most people I know.
That’s true, I also run a buddypress website that users being able to preview it, in anyway… seriously helps.
If a user can’t see any activity or can’t see what the site generally looks like even with screenshots they won’t sign up. Think of all the “sign-up-we-aren’t-a-scam” sites that are out there. That’s their biggest point, not letting you actually see what you are doing. So people will generally avoid them like the plague.

Aah, I am hearing that a lot, will think about that so people see more of what they get when joining up.

I am going to try a similar, but different theme with the new BBPress/Buddypress plugins, now using older version from earlier this year.
Just to play around with the code, not doing it for much more then laughs at the moment.
