Plugin for users to receive emails when a reply is made on one of their BLOG posts and for commenter

Can anyone point me in the direction of a plug-in or way for authors of blog posts to receive email alerts when users post on their blog?
In this case, using one quick post plugin so it is on the front end and the blog authors do not have editor privileges.
Also, is there a plug-in or a way for users to receive emails when someone posts a reply on a blog they have replied to?
