We need a plugin/mod that will:

a) count the number of favourites on an activity and assign an activity meta value “featured” on it, based on a threshold specified

b) allow the admin to specify the threshold value for an update to be featured

c) allow the admin to set certain updates as featured.

d) promote the featured updates to another tab on the same page, at regular intervals (set by admin)

e) add the featured updates to the site’s main RSS feed

Using WP 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.2.1 (or latest, as the case may be).

Also, using a child of the default BP theme, with only CSS customizations so far.

Please note: the featured tab should be an AJAXified one, with all the goodness that comes with it.
