Possible bbPress bug on 3.1.1 and 1.2.8 when replying to topics

bbPress automatically posts its activity updates to group walls, like when creating a new topic and responding. However when responding to topics, it somewhat posts garbled updates to walls like this:

    Just responded to: %e5%a4%9a%e6%91%a9cb%e3%83%ad%e3%82%b4%e3%81%b8%e3%81%ae%e6

Maybe BuddyPress isn’t properly configured to support multibyte characters even with multibyte patch is being used. However, new topic notice to walls isn’t garbled and works properly.

I still haven’t figured out which plugin file under bp-forums controls the way bbpress posts its updates to activity streams, so if anyone knows please advise me.

Anybody know some tips on customizing forum components, especially how forum updates are sent to activities? I still can’t find this function that controls forum activity updates.

It’s a bit unintuitive, but forum activity items happen in bp-groups.php groups_new_group_forum_post() and groups_new_group_forum_topic(). (It’s because all forum posting happens through groups.)

I haven’t seen this particular text encoding issue before. What language are you posting in?

@boonebgorges I’m using bp in Japanese. Anyway, thanks for the info. If possible, I’ll modify the function not to post any content to activities, but notification.
