Possible bug on search feature – top of page or any field in member directory
-
Hi Brillianto’s,
Our site is up and running. Slowly but surely our members are propogating the member directory and this without Andy’s guidance that members need to log in … strange but true.
As more members visit the buddypress site, more of our members appear in the directory who have not logged in
But the bug is in the search field at the top of the default buddypress page, running 2.8.4 and 1.03. We now have 650 of our members appearing out of a possible 760. One of our users did a search for the term ‘London’ which appears in two of our additional fields. So, the results appear in the member listing, showing 84 results. So far so good. Now with a PC running, I click on the right arrow or the subsequent number and pages 2 – 5 appear. But when I click on page 6 (out of 9) or on the right arrow, I get the default message “need a search term to get results” or words to that effect.
I theorize that perhaps not all 84 of the members do not as yet appear in the member listing when you click on the individual letters. However, here is the extra glitch: in a Mac, after you perform the search, when you click on the numbers for page 2 of the 9 page listing, the page returns as just the default most recent members. This is true if you click on a letter in the member listing directory or do a search. Only in Mac. Verified by one of our members in London and also verified by me at the Copymat in Hollywood where I used a Mac.
Shouldn’t we all just use PC’s? –
Cheers,
Brian
