My community will have three types of members, let’s call them types A, B, and C. I would like to be able to control who can see blog posts based on user type. Two questions:

Question 1: What is the best way to keep track of these user types? The two options I see are to use groups or a custom profile field.

Question 2: In addition to posts that should be visible to each user type individually, I need to have posts visible to combinations of user types (A+B, A+B+C). What’s the best way to accomplish this?
