I’m an all thumbs newbie working on a BP/WP website that will be used by several different private groups.

Is there a way that posts created by authors will ONLY be visible to those in a particular group?

I know forums can be securely narrowed to a private group, but posts provide much more room for diverse functions.

To do this do I need to be running each group as it’s own “blog” with MU or can it be done with a NONE MU WP install?

Any help would be very much appreciated.
