BuddyPress.org

Hi,
I have a client who has a yearly get together. They want exisiting users (about 750) to be able to talk with one another about sharing a hotel room or arranging rides to and from the airport. It seems like BuddyPress would allow them to do this. Is that correct?

In online research it looks like the existing 750 would not automatically be given a BuddyPress account? How can I give them automatic BuddyPress accounts and access based on their existing user accounts?

I already have a “Members” page so I think there will be a conflict with a BuddyPress install since it creates a Members page. Can I have BuddyPress create a different Members page (like BPMembers or something)? How would I do this?
