Private message link displays twice

Hello,
I’m using Modern Portfolio Pro theme by Studiopress, and the PM link is displaying twice. I know it’s theme related because I activated Twenty Sixteen and it was fine.
Any thoughts on what to do aside from changing themes?
No link because it’s a private board.
