Private messages not sending

Hi, I tried to find a thread or solution. However, I’ve found none.
Private messages are not sending, even though I deactivated all the plugins except BP. I keep getting an error message The message didn’t send. Try again.
Please help

I had to deactivate a few plugins AND do Optimise database a few times and it worked. Find out which are faulty. And now I installed BuddyBoss platform and it works like a charm.

I find the issue for me, it was another plugin BP restrict (maybe outdated)
