Private Streams?

Hello, I’m considering using BuddyPress for a small prayer network kind of site. I would want to make each members activity stream private though, since it may contain personal info from their friends and their prayer requests. Is there a way to accomplish this? It seems like If I’m friends with someone I can view their activity stream too.
