Problem with bp events plugin (Fatal error)

    Hi, I’m having a problem with bp events, and I didn’t find any answer.

    When I install it, it installs sitewide. And it causes a Falat error, calling the bp_core_add_root_component() function in the blogs.

    I can’t install it only in Buddypress plugins.

    Someone knows what can I do?

    Is this happening when you attempt to activate it… or afterwards?

    Just FYI… this plugin (the latest trunk anyway) is not quite in a finished state. It’s got a few rough edges.

    Right now, the best way to get an answer re support issues is on the plugin’s site: http://www.erwingerrits.com/?page_id=799. Erwin is quite helpful. I am assuming you installed it exactly as he states moving bp-events.php and the rest of the plugin where they should go.

    I can’t even figure out where to download updates to the plugin anymore, and even though I’ve left it installed, kinda given up.

    Open a terminal window and type this:

    svn co https://svn.wp-plugins.org/bp-events/trunk/

    Altho’ that may change soon as Erwin just got his trac server fixed. It was down for two weeks. Here are the URLs of his original bp-events page and his new Trac server for bp-events. Use the Trac server for bug reports, feature requests, etc.

    p.s. Of course… that assumes your system has SVN. I think I had to download it and install it on my Mac. It’s a UNIX binary. If you’re on a Mac… this page may help:

    Oh… I also just discovered that using Transmit for Mac… and the WebDav protocol… I can download versions in a friendly FTP-like interface.
