Problem with registration

I already search about it in the google, but despite a lot of people have the same problem i dont find a solution

When the users try register by the buddypress register they come back to the initial page of the website and don’t receive any confirmation e-mail.

When i disable the buddypress the normal register method works fine.

I already tried install the “Configure SMTP” plugin and configure to a gmail. I receive the test e-mail (very delayed but i receive) and when i try register in buddypress the email doesn’t come, i already check the send folder in the gmail, but only the test emails was there.

Sorry for my english orthography btw.

I’m a little confused what is going on / your issue so forgive me but can you clarify please? Is the issue that on registration emails aren’t being sent?

When the people finish the register form they are sended to the home page, and they don’t receive the confirmation e-mail.

Some servers require for any php outgoing mail that you create a mail account on the server itself depending on your host. Cpanel did on my host and maybe that could be the issue.

Cpanel sometimes has gitches or may be getting updated and causing your problem. Give it a little time and then create the email in cpanel when your successful then the emails should send except to AOL. They filter most stuff from php mail so I would use several email test accounts from various providers.

Nothing yet, when i try the “Sent test e-mail” option, the e-mail come in matter of seconds, but when i try register, the e-mail doesn’t come after all

I think the solution will disable the e-mail verification, but probably this will get a lot of spam >.< Did you guys think a captcha is enough?
