Problems changing button label with PO and MO files

I followed the directions at http://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/customizing/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/ to change “Avatar” to “Profile Picture” throughout and I used Poedit as well with no errors. I’m not seeing the change in BuddyPress though. Any ideas for troubleshooting? Thanks in advance for any guidance! Viva la WP, BP & BB!
