Profile links not working if nicename contains "-" character…

Hi,

Using WP 2.9.2 and BP 1.2.1.

BP does not show members profile pages if nicename contains “-” character or nickname has space and we cant found this members with search…

For example this link work fine: http://hpv.sitesi.ws/members/hoba/

Try one of them this link, it will go to homepage…

My installation process:

I installed Buddypress 1.2.1 plugin from plugin menu. Then upgraded to 2.9.2. then changed my permalinks to non-default. Activated the standard bp theme. Setup an old bbPress forum. All members from bbPress.

My site is http://hpv.sitesi.ws

Any suggestions?

Try adding the following line to wp-config.php:

define( 'BP_ENABLE_USERNAME_COMPATIBILITY_MODE', true );

Hi r-a-y;

Thanks, now we can search and find this members but profile page still wont work.

I have add this lines to wp-config file:

define( ‘BP_ENABLE_USERNAME_COMPATIBILITY_MODE’, true );

define ( ‘BP_ENABLE_ROOT_PROFILES’, true );

I have test profile link with both of them bu i cant solve the problem. This lines just change the prfile URL like this, its remove the “-” chars from URL

Any suggestions?
