Profile tabs for group members only

Hello, I want to make a profile tab visible only to members of a certain group and invisible to everyone else.
On my site anyone can register. After someone signs up for a membership, I manually add them to a group (’Group-X’).
There are some profile tabs that I only want to be visible to members of Group-X, such as the Forum tab. What is the correct code to only show the Forum tab to members of Group-X in the area below their avatar, and also to only show the Forum link in the top right admin area (below ‘Howdy’) to members of Group-X but no one else?
Also, are there any plugins that provide this functionality?
