profile tag feature for members not working

I have a profile field that is populated by checkboxes. The options are Undergraduate Student, Staff, Faculty, Alumni. Before the upgrade to trunk 1407 if users clicked on the links created on the public profile for a member it would deposit them on a page populated by other users with the same tag. Now it doesn’t do this.
Error:
No members found. Members must fill in at least one piece of profile data to show in member lists.
If I just click on “Members” I get a list of members. Trying to pull only “Undergraduate Student” members isn’t working now.
