Putting “Who’s Online” as a drop down in the Admin/Buddy Bar?

I’m on WP 3.1.2 Multisite and BuddyPress 1.5
I think I can function if I just get this last bit coded.
Has anyone put all sidebar navigation out of the sidebar and up into the admin/buddy bar? That’s where I’d like to have it. The only thing I have in the sidebar is the log in information.
What I’d really like to have is the code snippet to insert the widget-y stuff into the admin/buddy bar file.
