QA Plugin Post To Activity Stream

Hi,
I’m using the Q&A Plugin by WPMU Dev. Unfortunately any question posted does not show up in the activity stream. I’d like this to happen. The Q&A plugin uses custom_posts. I’ve been trying to figure out the function to add the custom_post to the activity stream.
I tried this function:
Now this doesn’t work – and I’m thinking it is because of how I used type as qa_question. But where would I figure out that variable for the plugin anyway?
Sorry – I’m not a coder but want this function – so I’m determined to learn.
