r1416 and bp-custom (not working)

When I tried r1416 along with other updated plugins this morning from trunk, bp-custom was not recognized by the system. I’m now using the tag version, but due to the problem with bp-message, I’m planning to update to r1418.
My concern is bp-custom as it didn’t work at all with r1416. Not sure if BP_PLUGIN_DIR is the cause of the problem, but is there anyone else using the latest revisions from the trank?
