Rebuild Recent User Activity

I have a lot of content on my site (posts and comments) but I had to manually insert it into the site by submitting all the posts and comments under my own account, then editing the database tables to show that other users authored them.

Doing this, all the activity that is shown in blog tracking under recent posts and recent comments is activity that actually belongs to others but that I had submitted initially.

Is there a way to rebuild the recent activity from scratch so that it can reflect the current meta information (the table wp_bp_activity_user_activity)?

No, I’m afraid not. This would be quite complex to write, too.

Would deactivating and deleting buddypress, then reinstalling it work?

No. The thing is, that content is created and timestamped *when* the event happens.

To expanD on above, it’s basically stored as HTML in the database. It’s just prited out on the page. Reinstalling BP would wipe your activity blank.
