redirect loop

I created a link in the header that links to sub.url.com/wp-admin
Its a post blog link. It works great for blogs that the user can post to but if you click it on a blog you are not an author to it throws back an error redirect loop. Id there a way to redirect this to say a page that says you do not have posting rights?
