registration field problem

Hello,
I would like to add custom fields to my registration form.
I have wordpress Wild community theme with buddypress installed on it.
in wordpress backend i go to users/ profile fields and i add a new field but nothing comes up on the registration form.
i would like to say that i seen some tutorials online that mentioned to go to buddypress/ profile fields but i don’t see that in my backend on the side menu.
Would you be kind to explain me how can i add registration field to my registration form?Thank you
