Registration form not working

Hi,
Our registration form isn’t working properly on our Buddypress install.
If you don’t fill in all the required fields, the errors are outputted twice. If you fill in the data correctly, a user is added to the database, but you are redirected back to the registration page with 2 errors saying that the email and username have already been used.
It looks to me as if the registration process is being looped through twice. Does anyone know what would cause this? We are using the latest versions of both WP and BP.
