Remove Admin Bar completely

Is it possible to completely remove Admin Bar? I tried plugins and they remove the Admin bar itself but leave empty bar space on top of my theme.
If not – is there a way to get rid of certain things on it? Tried “BuddyPress Admin Bar Mods” plugin but it didn’t work and it’s outdated.
