Remove Avatar

Hello,
On my blog, http://gdfunityindiversityblog.org/ , I am running into a slight problem with the avatar.
As you can see, the avatar on the blogs-loop page, (http://gdfunityindiversityblog.org/posts/) is showing up very small.
I was trying to make it larger, but instead, I decided to remove it, which I was able to do on a single post page (http://gdfunityindiversityblog.org/2012/03/26/an-invitation
But I wasn’t able to remove it on the posts page.
Also, on Google Chrome with Inspect Element, I was able to see that the avatar on the posts page was coming from the author box, but that element wasn’t found on the blogs-loop.php code.

The class=”author-box” markup exists in the default theme in the following files: archive.php, attachment.php, index.php, search.php, and single.php. Maybe try removing it from index.php, or if you’re using a custom them, do a find-in-files to find where it’s hiding.

I have removed the avatar element from all of those files, and it has been removed from all elements except for the posts page. Also, I am not using a custom theme (I’m using bp-default)
