Remove or move title/member name on profile pages

On the profile pages I want the page title (which is also the member name) to be rendered AFTER the avatar.

I am thinking one way to go about this is to remove the page title and then add it elsewhere in the template. I know I can easily add the title to my custom member-header.php file I added to my theme. What I’m trying to figure out is how to delete the original title on the profile pages– but only the profile pages since I still need the title to show on posts/pages/etc.

So how do I un-hook the title from it’s current location on the profile pages and re-hook it after the avatar…

Still pretty new to buddypress, so any help is appreciated!

I should also mention I’m using the most recent version of Genesis with the Eleven40 theme.
    wordpress 3.6.1
    buddypress 1.8.1

Did you determine how to do this? I’m trying to do something similar. I’ve figured out that I needed to create a bp-custom.php file, and I’ve used that to rearrange and rename the menu items in the buddypress profile page. But similar to you, I want to move the page title and avatar.

If I figure this out before you respond, I’ll come back and let you know.

    Thanks

You could probably do it with css if you find the class that controls the display of the element you want to hide.

What I have ended up doing is re-positioning the title with css. Honestly not how I want it to be, but I haven’t found a better solution.
