Replace Avatar with a gallery

Is there a way to “replace” the avatar with a gallery of images?
I want the user be able to upload up to 5 images as avatar.
And in the profile page, makes of the avatar box a gallery, showing one pic, but with arrows to skip to the following pic (or thumbnail I dont care)

Is that possible u think?
