Reply within activity stream breaks Author must have a prev. approved comment

Within the WordPress Discussion Settings there is a great option:
“Before a comment appear: Comment author must have a previously approved comment” (checkbox).Unfortunately BuddyPress ignores this core-setting and it is possible to answer within the activity stream without any restrictions.
It would be great if you can consider this option in a future version of BuddyPress to prevent spam.
