But, plz add multi-line, plaintext <textarea> field

We don’t want our members formatting certain fields with bold text, big fonts, colors, etc etc. We want our CSS to control presentation of those fields.

i feel this is a fundamental web-design principle, so i think it’s an important BP omission.

i tried to add ‘textarea’ to plugin ‘buddypress-xprofile-custom-fields-type’. It almost works, and i think just needs a minor tweak to complete the mod, as explained here:
